Better late than never, huh?
So Chelski ended up doing the double, although Portsmouth (and in particular Kevin-Prince Boateng) must be kicking themselves knowing that they had a great chance to beat them in the FA Cup Final, which turned out to be Avram Grant’s last game in charge on the south coast.
But the real winners and losers of the football season are those taking part in the Fantasy Soccerball Dream Team League. After 10 months, the final scores are finally in and there aren’t that many shocks as to the outcome. A late surge by Oh no not you again in the last couple of months including a 124 point haul in May saw them rise to 5th but in the end it wasn’t enough.
Since the beginning of the year there have been two teams battling it out at the front of the pack and one team consolidating third place, while at the bottom FFC All Stars staked a claim to last place and stuck by it all season long!
So, in third place was Dyslexia Untied with 1805 points, Rooney and Lampard the main point scorers for them.
Taking second spot was Mollix Munty on 1823 points, who had 4 players all hitting more than 200 points including Darren Bent and John Terry.
But this years winners are Rabid Vienna on 1881 points who also had Rooney and Lampard as the big point hitters!
