August’s Manager of the Month Results

And so the results are in! The first month of the 09/10 season comes to a close and it was tight at the top going into the final round of matches.

After a weekend that saw Man Yoo beat Arsenal and Chelsea get revenge on Burnley for the Carling Cup defeat last season and go top of the table, there was a fair bit of movement in the Manager of the Month table.

Biggest movers over the weekend were Dobson First XI with 62 points. Friday’s leaders, Mollix Munty, dropped down to 6th place, while Waiheke Wonderers who were sitting pretty in 2nd place dropped down to 5th! But exactly how many of these points or movement in the league were due to the Sun’s points discrepancy issue being fixed is unsure!

In the end it was Rabid Vienna whose 48 points over the weekend moved them up to top spot, scoring 183 points for the month. 9 points behind them were New manager please on 174. And it remained close behind Chee’s team as only 14 points separated the next 7 teams!

Now comes the international break so there are no games until the 12th September.
